Back to News & Views
Gemini Professional Financial Group, the professional services company headquartered in Sutton Coldfield recently held its 10th annual golf day in support of its new Charity Partners – The Michael Lewis Foundation and Remap UK.
Despite the rather wet weather, over 90 guests, including clients, sponsors, staff and charity representatives gathered at Sutton Coldfield Golf Club to enjoy a days golf and to raise vital funds for our charity partners.
Chris Wathen, Group Marketing Manager at Gemini says “This year was our 10th annual golf day and the first for our new Charity Partners. We changed up the format of the day with additional competitions to make the day bigger and better than ever before”
“We are aiming to raise a total of £5,000 from all of our activities this year and our golf day plays a major part in this fundraising” says Gemini Director Jason Moore.
Chris Wathen continues “As we have two new partners, we invited Tim Lewis, Founder & Trustee of The Michael Lewis Foundation and Philip Watts, West Midlands Regional Chairman of Remap UK to say a few words on the day.”
Tim says “We are grateful to Gemini for their support and the invitation to speak at their golf day was very welcome. We are a small charity with big ambitions and rely on the good nature and support of our fundraisers and benefactors. I would like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported the event and gave so generously”
Philip Watts adds “Remap UK is a national charity but works at a local level and is made up of volunteers. All funds raised help to fund our support local projects for disabled people to live more independent lives. Locally we deal with around 80 projects a year. I would like to add my thanks to Gemini for their support for Remap in the West Midlands”
“The golf day raised £4,000 and with other activities, and an ongoing Justgiving page, we are well on our way to hit our £5,000 target” concludes Jason Moore.
